Central Pattaya is a vibrant shoreline resort city

Central Pattaya is clearly the center of the city’s shopping and entertainment districts, internationally known for its nightlife and adult entertainment. The area features hundreds of beer bars, gogo bars, pubs and other entertainment venues, dozens of hotels and many dining options. Soi LK Metro is the place to go if you want to rub elbows with more of a local crowd. If you are young and single and want convenient access to shopping, dining and entertainment, this is a great place to live.

Walking Street is perhaps the most popular tourist destination for entertainment for tourists. The area running between Beach Road and Second Road from Soi 7 to Soi 13 features many beer bars. The area north of soi 6 is more sedate, with 5-star hotels and formal dining. And there is a wide selection of Pattaya property situated in this conveniently located section.
Pattaya Beach is very popular with tour groups partaking in array of water sport options, including para-sailing, banana boats and jet skis. There are many vendors offering beach chairs and umbrellas where you can rest and enjoy the breeze and the sun. We do not recommend swimming in Pattaya Bay.
There are numerous shopping opportunities in Pattaya, which boasts several shopping malls, huge jewelry shops, art galleries, many spas, restaurants and massage therapy. Central Mall (Beach Road, Soi 9) is the newest, featuring Central Department Store as its anchor, with virtually every other type of retail shopping and dining experience available. Other shopping opportunities include the Avenue Mall (Second Road, Soi 13/1), Central Festival (Second Road, Soi 2), Royal Garden Plaza (Beach Road, Soi 13/2), and several local markets.
Getting around Pattaya Beach is very easy. If your destination is a bit too far to walk, simply hop on the next baht bus, press the buzzer at your desired stop, and hand the driver ten baht for each passenger. Here you really do not need a car, unless you plan to golf or visit the attractions in the outskirts of town.

Holiday rentals and serviced apartments in Central Pattaya – ditch the car and walk everywhere from your city center condo

Here you’ll find 5-star facilities including rooftop pool, sky garden, sky lounge, indoor and outdoor children’s playgrounds, a fully equipped fitness center, yoga room, numerous relaxation areas, even half-court basketball.

If you enjoy a good game of pool, play on one of the tables with locals and tourists alike. Located at Pattaya Beach Rd Soi 1.

Soi LK Metro: The Soi is full of bars, gogo bars, pubs restaurants, guesthouses and hotels. It tends to be favored by local expat residents, partly because prices are a little lower and venues a bit more intimate than establishments on Walking Street. Access from either Soi Diana or Soi Buakhao, just around the corner from The Base Pattaya.

Jomtien Beach – Pattaya’s relaxed beachside neighbor to the south

Historically Jomtien Beach has always been a more laid back neighbor just a few clicks south of Pattaya. The construction, connection and extension of Jomtien 2nd Road from Pattaya 2nd Road to the north straight through to Na Jomtien to the south has changed all that. With the completion of these road works, Jomtien is more like a twin city to Pattaya, with enormous residential and commercial development started around 2008 and continuing today.
Jomtien is a popular area for those who want a balance between the frenetic pace of Central Pattaya with fairly easy access to services and conveniences. Jomtien seems to be especially popular with visitors who come here to golf because of the quick and easy access to major highways and golf courses, combined with more modest prices for accommodation and dining.

Getting around Jomtien is generally easy, with Songtaews (pickup trucks with converted to open-air taxis) readily available along Thappraya Road and Jomtien Bech Road.

Jomtien Beach short-term lettings and serviced residences – some of the most modestly priced holiday lettings in the Pattaya region

As Jomtien Beach is historically known as a resort destination, it is most busy during the busier tourist season stretching from around the middle of October to the end of February each year. What this means is the smart traveler can get very good deals during slower times of the year. Check out our short-term lettings at Atlantis Condo and Laguna Beach Resort 1 as fine examples of this.

"The Hill" is home to many of the finest Pattaya properties on the market today, and boasts a residence of the Royal Family.

Getting around Pratamnak is much like other neighborhoods. Songtaews (pickup trucks with converted to open-air taxis) are readily available along Thappraya Road, while you will need to charter or provide your own transportation if you need to get to a hotel or residence off of the side roads. Motorbike "taxis" are everywhere, and once you get the hang of getting around this way, you will find it to be very convenient.
Pratamnak Hill offers residents a relaxed, resort-style lifestyle. If you are looking to acquire Pattaya properties in Pratamnak, contact our experienced team at Be Our Guest Asia.

Quick Guide

Cabbages & Condoms: Guests will delight in the restaurant's romantic seaside atmosphere set under a tropical tree canopy with leaning trees lit by lanterns. The Sunset Deck offers a spectacular ocean view and fresh sea breeze. Pratamnak Soi 4.

Entertainment in Pratamnak

Pratamnak Hill does not really have an entertainment zone and is much more residential than other areas. One can enjoy a nice cocktail in the various hotel bars, small neighborhood bars around Cozy Beach and a small number of “gentlemen’s clubs” catering to local expats scattered around; Kinnaree Place is one of the more popular and established of these. Those who want a big night out can simply venture the short distance to the world-famous Walking Street at the near end of Pattaya Beach.

Wongamat Beach – Pattaya’s most affluent neighborhood

Wongamat Beach Pattaya (sometimes referred to as Naklua) is perhaps the most family-oriented residential area along the Pattaya shoreline. It boasts many luxury condominiums, upscale restaurants, and is a favorite with well-heeled Bangkokians and foreigners alike. Ease of access to Sukhumvit Road and the Motorway are also factors which make it a popular community for expats living and working in the Eastern Seaboard.
Historically this neighborhood had been very popular with Germans, which can be evidenced by the number of German restaurants and guest houses. In recent years its popularity amongst Western European, Russian, Scandinavian and North American nationals has increased. This area now has much more of an international feel to it.

Wongamat Beach Pattaya is the largest and most popular beach in the area. While sunbathing on the beach, you can enjoy local culinary favorites, relax with a massage, or groom yourself for the big night out with a manicure, pedicure or hair styling. If you want a flavor of the local area you will want to visit the Naklua market, where you can purchase clothing, fresh fish and meats and local produce.
Getting around here can be a bit of a nuisance. The baht bus (“songtaew”) public route goes along Naklua Road, but does not go in the side streets (“sois"), which is where most of the Wongamat condominiums and tourist hotels are located. You will most likely have to take more than one songtaew to get to the more popular destinations. Many residents either have a car, motor bike or both. If you do not want to drive, it is easy to find a songtaew or motorbike taxi to take you where you want to go for a negotiated fee (negotiate the fee beforehand to avoid conflict).
Wongamat Beach short-term lettings and serviced residences – Luxury Oceanside Living
If you’re looking to stay in an area that is removed from the hustle and bustle of Pattaya yet still close by, Wongamat Beach is a very good choice. The Sanctuary Wongamat and Wongamat Tower are both luxury condos where we have excellent short-term lettings and/or serviced residences available for you next holiday or business stay.
